Music for good. Curiosity in action.
Inspired by Khanh’s desire to use music for the better good, MĒ is Khanh X Kids Care Too initiative that invites young people to explore the connection between music and their everyday experiences.
Through short, guided activities, users can explore how different instrumental sounds and quiet relate to their own focus, memory, reading, energy, and calm. MĒ encourages curiosity and reflection, not a promise that one kind of music works for everyone.

Khanh’s interest in music is about more than listening or performing. It is about exploring how creativity can contribute to others. MĒ brings that idea into a teen-focused experience that connects music, learning, and service through Kids Care Too.

MĒ is designed for ages 13 and older. No participant account is required. Detailed scores and the personal profile stay on your device. Optional product analytics are off by default. See the full privacy policy for information about feedback, support messages, and administrator accounts.
MĒ is for education and self-exploration. It is not a medical device, a music-therapy service, or a treatment. Changes in scores do not prove that music caused an improvement.

Music sources
MĒ’s initial tracks—Soft Horizon, Clear Current, and Bright Motion—are AI-generated instrumentals created through Manus. They are not recordings performed by Khanh. Khanh’s passion for music inspired MĒ, and her recordings will be added and credited separately when available. The quiet condition contains no music.

How do I get started?
Open MĒ, choose a goal, complete the guided activities, and review your results. No participant account is needed.
Can I turn off the music?
Yes. Stop it during a music round or turn off Session music in Settings.
Does a better score mean the music helped?
Not necessarily. Practice, sleep, mood, and chance can affect scores. MĒ helps you explore personal patterns—not prove that music caused an improvement.

Operator: Kids Care Too
Overview
MĒ is a teen-focused educational and wellness app operated by Kids Care Too, a nonprofit organization. This policy explains how the MĒ mobile app and its public web pages handle information.
The short version: Detailed scores and your personal Music × Brain Profile stay on your device. Optional analytics are off by default and exclude direct identifiers, health details, ratings, and scores.
Information stored only on your device
Your age range, general music preference, onboarding answers, self-ratings, detailed challenge scores, session history, and personal Music × Brain Profile are stored locally on your device. MĒ does not transmit these detailed results to its analytics service.
Optional pseudonymous analytics
Analytics are off by default. If you choose to enable them, MĒ sends a one-way install code, app-open and completed-session events, the selected goal, sound identifier, device platform, app version, and event time. MĒ does not send your name, email address, school, diagnosis, exact age, self-ratings, or challenge scores with these events.
The installation code allows records from the same installation to be associated. Hashing does not make those records fully anonymous.
Feedback you choose to send
If you submit beta feedback, MĒ stores the feedback category, star rating, message, app version, event time, and the same one-way install code. The form asks you not to include your name, school, contact details, or health information. Feedback is visible only to authorized project administrators.
Support messages you choose to send
If you contact Kids Care Too by email or through its separate website contact form, you may share your email address, name, and message so the organization can respond. These reply-capable messages are separate from MĒ’s anonymous in-app feedback and product analytics. Please do not send health information.
Creator and administrator information
Authorized administrators sign in to manage the music catalog. Their account name, email address, sign-in method, role, and sign-in dates may be stored for account security. Uploaded audio, credits, licensing records, publishing status, and related operational records are stored in managed cloud services.
Information MĒ does not request
MĒ does not request a participant’s full name, exact birth date, school, medical diagnosis, precise location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, advertising identifier, payment information, or cross-app tracking permission. MĒ does not sell personal information and does not use behavioral advertising.
How information is used
Optional analytics are used to understand adoption, app reliability, feature use, and aggregate session counts. Voluntary feedback is used to improve the experience and music catalog. Creator information is used to operate and secure the catalog. MĒ results are educational associations from short self-experiments; they are not medical findings or diagnoses.
Research and publication
If MĒ is used in a formal research study, Kids Care Too will use a study-specific consent or assent process and any required ethics or institutional review before collecting study data. Research reports will use aggregate or de-identified information. The current optional product analytics are not a substitute for an approved research protocol.
Service providers and disclosure
MĒ uses managed hosting, database, authentication, and file-storage providers to run the service. These providers process information on behalf of Kids Care Too for app operations. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of an organizational transition subject to appropriate safeguards.
Your choices and deletion
You may keep analytics off, turn them off later, or use Settings → Delete my data. Deletion removes local onboarding answers, ratings, session history, and the personal profile, and requests deletion of analytics and beta feedback associated with that installation’s one-way code. Deleting the app also removes local app data, but use the in-app deletion control first if you previously enabled analytics or sent feedback.
Retention and security
Local information remains on your device until you delete it or remove the app. Operational cloud records are retained only while reasonably needed for the purposes described above, security, legal obligations, and nonprofit recordkeeping, then deleted or de-identified. Kids Care Too uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
Young people
MĒ is designed for people age 13 and older. It is not intended to collect personal information from children under 13. A formal study involving minors requires appropriate parent or guardian permission and participant assent unless an authorized ethics body determines otherwise.
Changes to this policy
Kids Care Too may update this policy as MĒ evolves. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date and, when appropriate, an in-app notice. Continued use after an update is subject to the revised policy.
Questions or requests
For deletion, use Settings → Delete my data. For common questions, open Settings → Help & FAQ. MĒ’s anonymous beta feedback form has no reply address.
